The 2020 Global Stakeholders Panel (GSP) is an international research and communication initiative about globalization, governance, sustainable development, and capacity building. The GSP initiative aims to establish an inclusive, transparent dialogue using a series of surveys. A broad cross-section of stakeholders - a global panel - will co-evolve a compelling vision and priorities for action towards a sustainable world, using the year 2020 as a milestone. Results are broadly shared. A full range of participation options, from mail, fax, and online versions of the questionnaire, in five languages (Arabic, English, French, Portguese, and Spanish), ensure the fullest possible participation.Launched simultaneously at the 2003 World Social Forum in Porto Alegre (Brazil) and the 2003 World Economic Forum in Davos (Switzerland), the initiative enjoys the active support of a wide range of global network organizations who are encouraging their stakeholders to participate in the full series of surveys. The research is being designed and conducted on a not-for-profit basis for the 2020 Fund by the research team at GlobeScan Inc., a leading global issues research organization located in Toronto, Canada. |
