A critical component of the C2020 enterprise infrastructure is a measurement and tracking platform that will develop and track metrics that demonstrate progress from ‘where we are’ to ‘where we want / need to be,’ based on leading research and best practice measurement systems. We propose a metrics framework with three areas of focus:
- Philanthropic and other social investment in order to achieve 2020 Green Transition Economy goals
- Leader and public consciousness / mindset sufficient to ensure that requisite decisions, actions and behaviors are undertaken with an appropriate scale and sense of urgency
- Earth and Human System outcomes regarding:
- Climate Change & Clean Energy;
- Clean Water, Air, Soil;
- Food Security & Sustainable Agriculture;
- Biodiversity Conservation;
- Human Prosperity, Development, and Rights;
- Peace, the End of Violent Political Conflict and the resulting reallocation of resources
In November, we will publish a 2020 Metrics Platform Feasibility Report & Whitepaper which will identify the opportunities that the 2020 Fund will address as well as provide an overview of existing metrics initiatives spearheaded by other organizations.
